Custom software

Software built around how your business already works

Most businesses end up bending their process to fit off-the-shelf software. We do it the other way round: we learn the workflow you actually run, then build software that fits it — and keep supporting it afterwards.

What we build

The kind of work we take on

Custom business software

Internal systems built for one company and one workflow — the operations, records and reporting your team runs every day.

Web applications

Browser-based tools your staff or customers sign into, built to work on the hardware and connections you actually have.

Mobile-ready interfaces

Interfaces that work properly on a phone, for teams who are on a shop floor or a forecourt rather than at a desk.

Inventory and operations systems

Stock, orders, dispatch and the paperwork around them, modelled the way your business actually tracks them.

Integrations

Connecting the tools you already pay for so data moves between them instead of being retyped.

Data and reporting

Turning the records your business already generates into reports someone will actually use to make a decision.

How we work

Five stages, and you can see all of them

You know at every point what stage the work is at, what it will cost and what happens next.

  1. 01

    Understand

We sit with the people who do the work and map the real process, including the parts that live in spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups.

  2. 02

    Scope

We agree what the first version needs to do, what it explicitly will not do yet, and what it will cost — in writing, before any code.

  3. 03

    Build

We build in stages and show you working software as it goes, so you correct the direction early rather than at handover.

  4. 04

    Roll out

We move your existing data in, train the people who will use it daily, and stay close through the first weeks of real use.

  5. 05

    Support

Software changes when the business changes. We keep maintaining and extending what we build rather than handing it over and leaving.

Engagement models

Three ways to work with us

Which one suits you depends on how settled your requirements are.

Fixed-scope project

A defined system with an agreed scope, timeline and price. Best when you know what you need built.

Ongoing development

A continuing arrangement where we keep building and improving over months. Best when the requirements will keep evolving.

Product customisation

Start from AluEstimator, DealerOS or SchoolERP and adapt it to how your business runs, instead of building from zero.

Technology

What we build with

We pick tools that are well supported and that another developer could pick up later — not whatever is newest.

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • REST APIs
  • Tailwind CSS

Common questions

Do you build software to order, or only sell your own products?

Both. Most of our work is custom software built for one business and its specific workflow. Alongside that we build and maintain three products of our own — AluEstimator, DealerOS and SchoolERP — which can also be customised for how you work.

Can your products be changed to suit our process?

Yes. Starting from an existing product and adapting it is usually faster and cheaper than building from scratch, and it is one of the three ways we normally engage with customers.

What happens after the software is delivered?

We keep supporting and extending it. Business processes change, and software that is not maintained stops matching the business it was built for. Support terms are agreed as part of the engagement.

How do we start?

Send us a short description of the problem through the contact form, WhatsApp or email. The first conversation is about understanding your current process — we will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.

Do we own the software you build for us?

Ownership of custom work is agreed in writing before the project begins, so there is no ambiguity later about who owns what.

Tell us what you are trying to fix

Describe your current process in a few lines. We will tell you honestly whether one of our products fits, whether it needs custom work, or whether we are not the right people for it.
